Bible verse:
Ephesians 1:19-23

On Sunday we looked at the final bit of Ephesians chapter one. (Ephesians 1:19-23)

The passage talks about God's immeasurably great power. We answered 3 questions:

1. Who is it for?

- Those who believe i.e. us!

2. What is it like?

- It raised Christ from the dead so sin and death are defeated.

- It seated Christ in all authority. We have the same authority.

- Christ is head over the church. God will fill the world with his glory and he will do it through the church.

3. How do we know this power more?

- Pray

- Experience it

For discussion:

Here are some questions which might help your discussion:

1. How does knowing God's immeasurably great power affect the way you live your life each day?

2. Are there areas of your life where you need to declare that Jesus is the name above all other names?

3. How much is this power that Paul is describing here a theory for you, and how much is it your experience?

"Why come to a fountain which can fill the universe with its waters and take a tiny sip that barely refreshes?"

I would encourage you to pray for one another to be filled again with the Holy Spirit and expect great things!
