Reunited in Christ

Date of talk:
Sunday, 21 May 2017
Series:
Preacher:

Bible verse:
Ephesians 1:9-10

Natural disasters, divisions between nature and man, discrimination, abuse, family breakdown, war and acts of terrorism can cause us to ask the question, "What is the world coming to?" These things began in the Garden of Eden when Adam and Eve disobeyed God. However, even then, God had a perfectly timed plan to unite all things in Christ.

We can look forward to what the world is really coming to...
- we will be united in Christ
- there will be full harmony between man and beast
- creation will be perfectly whole
- there will be health, and provision for all
- we will all be equal, valued and loved
- differences will be celebrated and enjoyed
- we have eternal life
- there will be peace
- we will be reunited with the saints

When we watch the news, we can thank God it won't always be like this. When we, or someone we know, are sick, we can thank God it won't always be like this. When we feel the effects of sin in our lives and those around us, we can thank God it won't always be like this.
