Bible verse:
Ephesians 1: 7-8

On Sunday we continued our studies of Ephesians 1:3-14. This week we focused on verses 7 - 8 . We looked at Jesus role in fulfilling the Father’s plans to reconcile us to Him so that we may stand holy and blameless before Him as sons. We saw how Jesus has reconciled us to the Father through His blood, obtaining for us the forgiveness of our sins, and that this was achieved because of His lavish grace. We went on to consider how we now live our lives in line with our status as Holy.  We also considered how God, through His love, will do all He needs to do to ensure we live changed lives.

For discussion:
  1. How can I be sure I am saved?
  2. How can we make sure that our current lifestyle is in line with our status as Holy?
  3. What can we learn about God the Father and ourselves from Hebrews 12:10(b) – 11. (You could also look at 1Corinthians 11:28-32 if you have time).
